Public Library Statistics

Utah Public Library Annual Report

The Utah State Library collects statistics annually for all city and county libraries in Utah. We collect data from all public libraries for three purposes:

  1. To report the progress of Utah’s public libraries to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the US Congress.
  2. To report to the State Legislature the condition of public library service in Utah; and
  3. To provide local government officials, library trustees, directors, and staff with meaningful data for planning and evaluation of library services.

All Utah public libraries are expected to complete the Annual Report / Public Library Survey. Use the tabs below to find out how to submit you Statistical Annual Report, see Utah Public Library Statistics, and find library data tools.
